I had never thought about fall in the way described by Rumi, but reading his words made me realise how everything is connected: nature, our bodies, our feelings and moods.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, autumn is the season associated with the lungs and large intestine. It is the time of year when we should pay extra attention to these organs. I have realised that during the autumn I can easily get an infection in my respiratory system and my elimination system sometimes behaves strangely. I feel often like my bowel system is "unhappy".

  Running was the first form of meditation I experienced. As a child I took pleasure in running long distances, and still clearly remember the wonderful feelings I had while running. I was in my own universe and the running made me feel pure. The school I attended wanted me to run competitively. I did not like to compete and the adrenaline rush at the start made me feel unwell, so unfortunately, I stopped running.

Have you ever written a list of things to do in the long term - a list of your dreams and plans for the future? I love to do come up with a plan, to imagine a dream and write about it on a piece of paper in my calendar or diary. Recently I discovered a way to realize my dreams.


Sadhana is a Sanskrit word which means daily spiritual practice.


Spirituality can be interpreted in many ways. It's up to you what you understand as your spirituality. Your understanding of spirituality is individual.


For me, a daily spiritual practice is the time I spend connecting with myself on a deeper level. It is the timeI turn inward and tune in to myself.
